Drum and bass is likely one of the least covered sub-genres of dance music on Indie Shuffle, and that's not because it's shit music or anything.
Typically, a lot of songs are a bit too high energy, dark, or just generally lacks the appeal that we search for. However, Cartoon's newest track "I Remember U" has a hell of a hook, along with some uplifting vibes that are perfect for the weekend.
The vocals were fairly underwhelming upon first listen — I'm usually not one for manufactured EDM vocalists. Slowly but surely, though, they started to grow on me. The real winner here is Cartoon's upbeat, percussive production. Slam a Red Bull or two, and just try not to dance to this. It's really quite the challenge.
