Why do we like this?

I find it increasingly rare that a female vocalist in the electro-pop realm manages to catch my attention. The genre has become so saturated that it's near impossible to get any traction.

Carmody, however, managed to get me. Good job, Carmody.

That might have something to do with her frequent appearances on Indie Shuffle alongside Tom Misch - a pairing that stands as one of my favorites in recent years. Their collaborations have made a bit of a soft spot in my heart, and so "Skin" didn't have to do a whole lot to win me over.

You'll find this as part of her debut EP, coming sometime soon.
