Why do we like this?

I'm a sucker for a good ol' jangly pop single, and newcomers Carla are the latest quartet to gain my attention. They hail from Liverpool, and "Heart Trips" is their very first single -- and a pretty darn good one, at that.

You can't sit there and tell me that the opening guitar riff didn't sell the song right from the start. As far as first singles go, I can't fault the sheer attention to detail that these guys possess. With crisp, clean melodies and unavoidably dancey vibes, it's almost as if these guys have been at it for years, not months. 

Sure, Carla has a lot work ahead of them, but I'm sure with singles like this one, they'll be here for the long haul.
