Why do we like this?
Austrian duo Cari Cari are quite the talented twosome. Comprised of multi-tasking musicians Stephanie Widmer (vocals, didgeridoo, jaw harp, drums) and Alexander Köck (vocals, guitar, synthesizer), previously of indie-electro band The Golden Rabbit, the pair make bluesy electronic goodness with a kick.
Likened to the love-child of The Kills and The xx, everything from the dirty blues bass, sensual opening harmonies, scuzzy riffs, and vocal wails makes "White Line Fever" scream "killer track."
Having spent the summer writing material in Alexander's studio, they've got a six-track EP entitled AMERIPPINDUNKLER due out in the spring. In the meantime, check out their debut video here.
