Why do we like this?
Last month, we fell in love with the bewitching bluesy sounds of Austrian duo Cari Cari's debut track "White Line Fever." Now it's time to fall a little deeper.
The talented pair have just unleashed their second offering, a spine-tingling seven-minute epic of heady bass lines, reverb-heavy guitar twangs, and an absolutely inspired use of the didgeridoo.
Taking the lead on the vocals is the sultry Stephanie, whose haunting timbre ebbs and flows effortlessly with the raw, almost wild, quality of the instrumentals. While different in feel to their debut, I think there's a powerful pull to "No War" that, in some ways, surpasses "White Line Fever." It certainly gives me confidence that their forthcoming EP will be a thing of sheer awesomeness.
Being the giving souls that they are, the pair are offering up this entrancing track for free download over on their SoundCloud. Go grab it while you can.
