The title track off of Card on Spokes' newest Sunwalker EP features Bonj Mpanza. I could literally stop there; I gave you the most relevant information in that first sentence.
What you don't see is the gears grinding in the background, constantly turning, toiling to make their sound a representative of what South Africa has to offer. naas, a creative collaborative based in Cape Town, is hosting underground events while simultaneously growing local artists' careers.
One career that's stood out is Card on Spokes. This EP spans jazz, electronic, hip hop, and experimental break beat. As far as the different tracks on the EP go, "On the Low" features vocalists with a distinctly African feel. Bonj Mpanza on "Sunwalker" and "Shine Through" lend a slightly different feel.
All the tracks are beautifully mended and signal a move away from the choppier, more emphatic feel that resonated with older Card on Spokes tracks. They're taking it into a more wavy sound, which you can clearly hear on Sunwalker.
