The first thing I thought of when I heard this song (and I hope she never reads this), was a girl that broke my heart. Sweet, romantic, she could give me butterflies in my stomach with the smallest of smiles.
Beautiful, just like this song, but a sad memory. I don't regret anything, but it hurts to think about. That's why this is such a great song, it is heart-wrenchingly beautiful, but it's going to make you think about past lovers, about those moments where nothing else existed in the world but the two of you, and that's something you can either bear, or cannot.
For me, this song represents a time in my life where I was at peace, and that's why I love it. There is a sense of sadness to it, but sadness at the fact that whatever happened is over, rather than because it happened at all.
So thank you Caoilfhionn Rose, thank you for reminding me of that person, and all the perfect memories made with her.
