Deep Into the Dark We Go My Love
Cannons deliver another showstopper from their album Fever Dream. "Tunnel of You" is pure Texas sun romanticism and the best alt blues I've heard in years.
Fever Dream is slowly becoming one of my favorite albums of the year (and it's only March.) Just after "Hurricane," they dropped this mythological alt blues heartthrob of a track that feels like a gooey western romance. It's got that heavy bass carrying it through synth and key chimes that just accentuate an already beautiful vocal performance from the lead vocalist Michelle Joy.
It's a drippy and wonderful little experience that melts in your mouth.
