It's nearly been a year since we brought you the last single from Sydney band
Camden, "
Too Pretty for Punk," but thankfully they're ready to win you over again with some brand new music. The band, lead by singer/songwriter Camden Chan, has spent the last few months recording their new EP with producer Willson (Flume, New Navy), with the first taste now ready for public consumption.
"Scars" will have you swaying in no time. Keeping to their romantic, Brit-pop style of songwriting, this new track has a slightly more laid-back feel than their previous releases. Relaxed percussion and sparkly, drawn-out guitar lines prove the perfect foil for Chan's crooning vocals -- all making for a pretty dreamy listen.
The single has been released with a B-side, so make sure you check out the upbeat "Heroes" over on
SoundCloud, and keep an eye out for details of the EP release (due out later this year).
