I really wanted to find good music today, so when I came across CAMARANO's "Ashes," I got really excited.
When diving a little deeper into the song, my excitement grew, because the lyrics hold real power. Reminiscent of the nursery rhyme Ringer Ringer Rosie, CAMARANO creates a daunting world of war that he uses to tell the story of losing our ephemeral innocence as we inevitably move out of childhood.
Trying to imagine where CAMARANO wrote these words, and what transpired shortly beforehand, fills me with sonder – a shaking realization that an unknown human, layered with complexities, lives a life as rich and dense as my own.
