While it's not uncommon for two artists to collaborate on a song, I can't recall the last time that a result was so good that both musicians had no choice but to include it on their respective albums. Such was the case for Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding on the track "Need Your Love."
Ellie has been drumming up a lot of attention lately, leaking a number of tracks leaking off of Halycon (available October 9th). But it's Calvin Harris who truly comes away the winner here in my book.
Why? Because this is the second time in a month that he's been at the helm of an absolutely amazing track. I'm talking, of course, about his collaboration with Florence Welch on the song "Sweet Nothing." Which leaves me really eager to get a taste of his new album 18 Months.
This one isn't officially available yet, but Sound Is Style has a download up here.
