Why do we like this?

Back in 2017, for those that can recall those times, 16-year-old CALUNDÉ released his debut single, "Eventually," which has since amassed hundreds of thousands of listens. Fast forward to this year and the artist now has a collective six singles under his belt. A couple of months ago, fans saw the release of "Don't Mind That We're Lonely," an R&B-infused slow jam. The talented singer-songwriter and producer has now delivered "The Rules," via Nine And A Half Records, in conjunction.

Netherlands-based, Cas Erkeland, yearns for creative independence and expression. Thus why he does most of the work himself, DIY style, in the comfort of his own bedroom.

"The Rules" is CALUNDÉ's note to himself to stop overthinking and to trust that his first decision is often times the best one. The now 19-year-old explains, “Sometimes I can be completely lost inside my head, overwhelmed by all the possibilities, which often leads to indecision.” Amen to that.

I will say, the decision to make this track, a groovy blend of contemporary indie and soothing R&B-style vocals, sure was the right one.

Enjoy & Cheers!
