Why do we like this?
On Monday, I woke after a long holiday weekend and, like most of you, was miffed that I was back at work. And I work in the music industry.
Nevertheless, it's those moments when we are down and clouded that happenstance, coincidence, and chance get us good. For me, it was a little gem by Australian singer/songwriter Jordan Lawrence, performing under the name Calan Mai, titled "We've Got Love."
The song is uplifting, witty, and fun filled. With lyrics like the opening line, "Dan's been wasting, pacing, making days turn into bong hits," it would not surprise me to see this Aussie landing on our shores and deservedly hijacking our airwaves very soon.
Look for Calan Mai's debut EP, Days On The Rock Face, out this July.
