Why do we like this?
It took me a couple listens until it clicked: Butternut Sweetheart reminds me a *lot* of Elliott Smith. Not just for its sound, but also for its sad subject matter.
The similarities pretty much stop there, though. The multi-instrumentalist behind the act is Sydney-based Luke Moseley, and he's very much so still alive (RIP Elliott). Which is a good thing, because it likely means there's more music up his sleeves.
