Why do we like this?
It pains me to know that I am a day late to hear the new Butch Clancy drop, titled "Hard Eight." All this searching for new talented momentarily blinded me to the more established acts that deserve my ears' attention.
Butch first caught my attention with a string of ridiculously dope dubstep remixes on YouTube. His take on Band of Horses "Funeral" and and Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks" are both still in rotation on my music players and in my car.
The Detroit-based self-described "half human, half subwoofer" lives up to his own hype with "Hard Eight." It's face-melting fun and the quality of the track should leave little doubt as to just how talented Butch Clancy is as a producer.
Let's hope this is only the beginning of a very productive 2012 for Mr. Clancy.
