Why do we like this?
Twin Shadow's Under The Cvrs series continues this month, with the experimental George Lewis Jr tackling one of my favorite artists of all time, all-American legend Bruce Springsteen.
The Boss has an all mighty selection of songs to choose from, but continuing on from his take of 10cc's "Not In Love," Twin Shadow has chosen one of Springsteen's more intimate tracks, the burning "I'm On Fire." Clocking in under two minutes, Lewis Jr's delicate delivery floats over a minimalistic electronic soundscape.
While I wouldn't call this a great cover, it is quite a different take on a Springsteen classic, and continues to showcase Twin Shadow's evolution as an artist.
