Why do we like this?
Ahhhh Broken Social Scene. One of my high school favorites.
Honestly, it's been so long since I was into these guys that I've grown just a tad nervous about their return. So many "great" bands of my past have attempted a return without much success. Fortunately, that might not be the case for Broken Social Scene.
Sure, their latest track "Hug Of Thunder" may not blow the modern-day aficionado away, but I reckon that those of us from way back when will appreciate its familiar sound -- including Leslie Feist.
Hug Of Thunder will be the collective's first new release since 2017, slated for availability on July 7th.
