Australian trio Brightly has built a reputation over the past few years for their gorgeous indie pop music, with an EP and album already stocking their back catalogue. Originally formed in the mind (and bedroom) of frontman Charlie Gleason, singles like "Preflight Nerves" and "World War" have provided them plenty of initial success.
Gleason recently relocated to the UK (Joshua Barber and Nicholas Lam stayed in Australia), but the distance doesn't look to have slowed them as they gear up for the release of their second album.
"True" is the first taste of this record, and we're grateful to be tasked with premiering it for you all. Dreamy and wonderfully balanced, it's a perfect blend of genres, with elements of folk, pop and electronica all fused together to perfection. It's definitely an easy listen, but it's not uninteresting or shallow, it's just a really excellent track.
Brightly's new album is due out in the new year, but make sure to give their previous releases a try over on SoundCloud.
