I love when I inadvertently stumble across a song on SoundCloud that I instantly fall in love with. This time around it was Breakfast's single "Grizzly Adams."
The twinkling piano opens this song with wistful ease, but there's a definite eeriness that lingers below. The ominous bass leads into the gorgeous vocals of Andrea Adolph, which whack a path through this unique and dark electro pop track. The shifts between bright and mysterious affects have a cooperative harmony between each other. This is the type of music that comes from a group of people who are fearless and unbounded.
I really don't know much about Breakfast (yet) but from what I can see, "Grizzly Adams" was taken from their latest album, Sun/Moon. Don't wait another minute -- go get yourself a copy!
