Why do we like this?
Drums, Slums and Hums. Quite the name, no? Portugal's Branko is moving quickly towards a mixtape by this name, dropping the single "Waves" along the way.
Roses Gabor, a favorite of mine, throws down vocals on this tightly wound, bass-filled track. Her soulful, soft chords brush on top Branko's production in the most intelligent design. Elements of hip-hop and future garage are perfectly balanced. This track was love at first listen.
For more from this UK-sounding producer, look for the full release due out April 2, 2013. And I think you should be prepared to dance, if "Waves" is any indication of the tone of the mixtape.
