Brilliant move for Detroit Swindle to start a label, don't you think? Heist is like an extension of their good tastes. One of my favorite additions to the fledgling label is Brame & Hamo.
The Irish duo is sort of like Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera — married, but in two separate houses. What I mean is, if you'd like to follow them on Facebook, you'll have to follow Brame and Hamo separately. They need their social media space, after all.
But on a serious note, "Parish Rumors" is divine. It's the kind of house that, when you happen upon it, a smile is inevitable. And should you happen upon it while out, say at some small, divey wine bar that has "house night" every second Saturday of the month, "Parish Rumors" would have the whole place smiling. That's good house.
