Bow & Arrow is Sydney-based husband and wife duo Mitchell and Mindy Kwanten. They've been performing live for some time, and have now debuted their first official single, "Midnight."
The pair met while studying at the Conservatorium of Music, so it's no surprise that on a purely musical level, this song is phenomenal. Mitchell and Mindy recorded every single instrument, apart from violin.
"Midnight" is sultry, spooky, and full of power. The atmosphere is breathy, yet bare -- the perfect spotlight for Mindy's crystalline voice. I adore the variety of instruments throughout, adding so many unique splashed of tone and color, from muffled violin plucks to deep, distorted guitar chords, to the increasingly frantic percussive rhythms.
The single comes along with a sensual, gradually NSFW video clip directed by none other than Ryan Kwanten, who you may remember as Jason Stackhouse from hit TV show True Blood. Check it out here.
