Why do we like this?
Okay, I'm pretty sure our blog is getting old. Old enough that I can say it's been 2.5 years since we covered Born Ruffians' last release, Say It.
Why does that matter? Well it means that when I saw a new song from the band this morning, I was pretty excited to listen in. It's their first new single in quite some time, which often means a good bit of evolution.
I'll let you be the ultimate judge of how this holds up, but overall I'm not finding myself blown away. It's definitely very well produced, but toward the end the melody starts to grind me the wrong way. Can't please everyone, I guess.
No word yet on what the album title will be or when it's due to be released. But you can probably count on us covering their future singles, by which time we'll hopefully know more!
