Why do we like this?

Having followed the career of Bored Nothing, the creation of Melbourne-native Fergus Miller, for some time now, I'm always interested to give his new tracks a listen. After plenty of buzz surrounding his earlier releases, the prolific artist is readying himself for his latest, the Some Songs LP.

After dropping the record's first track "Ice Cream Dreams" a month back, we now turn our attention to "We Lied." Significantly more uptempo than much of his previous work, the track has that terrific wistfulness to it that Miller has cultivated over the years. Highlighted by his typically honest vocals, the songwriting here is superb, as is the driving soundscape he's created, which adds to the carefree nature of the song.

Some Songs is to be released on October 24 via Spunk, and October 27 in the UK & Europe via Caroline International.
