I've been all about this track since Bored Nothing released their official music video via Majestic Casual. This is lo-fi Australian rock better suited for sweet summer daze.
Fellow blogger Hugh said Bored Nothing fit in somewhere in between Death Cab and Elliott Smith back in 2012. I'm inclined to add it sounds like a washed out version of Dirty Beaches. Last year, we covered their track "Popcorn" -- Hugh described it perfectly as "simple but heartfelt, without being too serious." This track, "Let Down," is much the same.
Bored Nothing is Fergus Miller, a Melbourne-based singer/song-writer. He's got a lot of free lo-fi guitar material like this on his Bandcamp. Check out the recently released EP Thank You For the Mammaries -- there's a fantastic balance between soft guitar and faded lyrics on "Slipped Between the Seams."
