Why do we like this?

Bonny Doon's "I Am Here (I Am Alive)" is a relatable and quintessential indie folk track.

This easy listening gem is a modern day take on folk rock that doesn't need any time to grow on you. It's straight-forward, clean cut and soothingly familiar. With that familiarity though, there's originality in the shape-shifting that the chord progressions provide. The vocals bellow a slightly brooding aspect but not enough to call it melancholy. The acoustic guitar provides a sound we all know and love, while the drums shuffle their way through a delightful composition.
