Why do we like this?
Based on the song title, you might think that the subject matter of this song is romantic. But it's not.
BLØSH were actually inspired by the documentary Man On Wire, which follows the story of a high-wire artist named Philippe Petit. "When Love Is Alive" pays respect to his passion for doing something they love -- even if doing so is illegal (in this case, walking between the Twin Towers).
The subject isn't actually what caught my attention, though. Rather, it was the Oslo-based duo's ability to blend beautiful female vocals with an intricate indie rock foundation. Clearly there's something good going on here, and as such we're stoked to have the premiere.
