Why do we like this?
On this day in 1980 Blondie released smash hit "Call Me," so it makes sense the New York veterans mark the occasion with brand new single "Fun."
Taken from their just announced new album, Pollinator, "Fun" is exactly what it sounds like: an upbeat, new wave meets modern synth-pop tune that's a certain dance floor starter.
The album is a follow-up to 2014's Ghosts Of Download, and features songwriting collaborations with the likes of TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek, Charli XCX, Sia, Dev Hynes and Johnny Marr, along with guest vocals from The Gregory Brothers, Joan Jett, and Laurie Anderson.
If "Fun" is anything to go by, Blondie's 11th album is sure to be another entertaining affair.
Pollinator is set for release May 5.
