Why do we like this?
Neo-Safari is back again with a brand new remix, after his throw-back take on Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." I'm guessing he's keeping pretty busy inside his studio working to avoid the oppressive Texas heat, because he keeps turning out some great remixes. Today he's premiering his take on Blondfire's electro pop hit "Where the Kids Are."
Pulling out the distorted electric guitar and alt. rock drums in favor of some Ableton patches, Neo-Safari has managed to take an already fun and upbeat track and turn it into a dance party ready anthem. I especially love the vocal manipulations on the second half of the rework, as the song is taken apart, twisted, shaken, and thrown back together like a mixed drink in a red party cup.
Hopefully Neo-Safari makes his way out of the studio soon to get out and hear this track playing in the nearest club, because that's exactly where it belongs.
