Sure, recordings of songs are cool, but if you want the real blaqkongo experience, you're going to have to visit South Africa to catch him DJing. Before lockdown he had become a must-book act in Cape Town. Now, I don't know what he's up to, but I hope he's playing underground gigs somewhere. The gigs would need to be very underground though, otherwise I might risk catching COVID to be there.
Honestly, watching blaqkongo live with a face mask on would be a huge health hazard. I actually heard about one raver who accidentally swallowed theirs, and had to be rushed to the emergency room. Others, who are less fit, will definitely struggle to keep up.
It would be a shame if you missed Brendan's next release. My suggestion: keep your eyes + ears peeled.
