Why do we like this?
New single from Black Lips! This one is off their upcoming album, Underneath the Rainbow, which was co-produced by The Black Keys' Patrick Carney. You can hear his hands all over this track, titled "Justice After All."
Their sound on this new record seems to be a little more like their old, rusty country styling of their distant past. Black Lips' true appeal, of course, comes from their amazing live show. The energy they display on stage as well as their raw emotional performance really makes this one of the great garage rock acts in the country.
I can't wait to see them on tour later this year in support of the new record.
