Discoveries like this are the gasoline to my music engine. When that meter is nearing E, a song like "Sons and Lovers" comes along and gets you cruising down the highway of life once again.
We've featured Black Light Dinner Party on Indie Shuffle here and there, and this newest track is yet another notch on the belt of musical bliss. The NYC-based group consists of four gentlemen: Jack Côté, Zach Lipkins, Joel Friedman, and Dan Stevens. The talented band is releasing their debut album Sons & Lovers on September 24, a date I'm looking forward to.
The sound is dense, dark, but altogether upbeat. It's a combination of sounds and influences that are very diggable. Bravo, BLDP.
