Instrumental hip-hop has become a sacred place to me. It's a place where I can put on my headphones and enter a brand new world led by bass and kickdrum and completely lose myself. Thankfully there are a handful of producers out there with the ability to put together a killer track that can stand without a few verses.
While we all know about producers like Clams Casino, some up-and-comers like the 23-year-old BK Beats are looking to get your head bobbin'.
Having produced tracks for the likes of Shady Blaze, Deniro Farrar, and Main Attrakionz, as well as opening for Baths, BK Beats has shown that he is someone to keep an eye on. His instrumental mixtape Flowers in February truly shows the talent this young producer possesses.
One of the stand-outs of the mixtape is a track called "Spinning." Hard hitting bass and synthesizers weave the track through a multitude of emotions, setting up the possibility that you may become completely overwhelmed -- in the best possible way.
When you realize that one listen just isn't enough, you can get yourself your own copy of Flowers in February right here.
