Valentine's Days is usually about celebrating love and relationships, but Bishat has gone a different route with new single "Unholy Romance."
The song finds the Swedish artist describing a relationship as it crashes and burns. Co-written with Damian Ardestani -- better known as XOV - "Unholy Romance" is a probing, dark-pop beauty. The track is taken from Bishat's forthcoming EP, which is set to feature new tracks from the alluring singer songwriter. Of that track and how it came about she had this to say;
When we came together on a cold rainy and bitter day on an Island outside of Stockholm I had to get on a car ferry to the studio where I was working and found myself standing in the freezing cold looking out over the dark water and knew this wasn´t a day for happy tunes… We were sitting in his cabin talking about life. We had the theme and I came up with the title which he loved but finding the lyrics was more of a struggle so we took a break. Damian went all Freud on me and when we came back we just wrote it. It was fluid and effortless and I felt it had something special.
