Biscotti's Like Heaven In The Movies was one of the most underrated releases of 2017, and this week the colourful Melbourne act have dropped the film clip for the album's third single "Fantastico."
This is four minutes of entrenching, hip shaking, Serge Gainsberg-like pop that will have you scratching your head while jiving along. The lyrics of the "Fantastico" are taken from an article in an 1981 Italian magazine the group found on the side of the road, so that pretty much tells you what to expect. Despite the comical nature of the songs creation "Fantastico" is merging of European pop aesthetics with slinky melodies and the sexually charged vocals of Biscotti and Dave Bramble.
The film clip represents the Italian feeling of "Fantastico" with each member of Biscotti playing the part of a stereotypical Italian family, with Bramble's Davide Dolce's character an absolute hoot to see explored in the flesh.
