Why do we like this?

In the early moments of "The Ocean and The Sea," off Bird Dog's upcoming debut album, Hello Latigo,  bird chirping is heard. The band recorded in Latigo Canyons, and you can easily tell the coastal atmosphere influenced the song's sound. 

"The Ocean and The Sea" exudes the whole folk music vibe we've heard from bands like Mumford & Sons, before a refreshing transition midway through into pure rock n' roll.

Overall, the song's got a real My Morning Jacket or maybe Black Keys ethos going on. Check out this Malibu-based band if you're in L.A. at the Hotel Cafe on 5/1.
