Why do we like this?
A song from 1982? What the hell -- why not.
My flatmate was blasting this through the stereo system about 5 minutes ago, and for lack of an alternative SOTD candidate today, I've decided to throw back to an era long gone.
The song was released by Billy on his album Billy Idol, and was widely considered to be a reference to his sister's upcoming wedding. The issue? She had fallen pregnant before the ceremony.
Turns out there was no such reference, and the song "was simply heightened fantasy and nothing more." Doesn't really matter to me either way; bottom line is that this is a great song.
