Why do we like this?
Unfortunately, due to some legal disputes, Little Dragon's Yukimi Nagano wasn't featured on Big Boi's latest record performing the song "Mama Told Me." But they did lay down the track, it just wasn't given the go ahead by the record company.
Luckily, Big Boi gave the fans what they wanted to hear by releasing this collaboration between the two. Both artists seem to complement each other pretty well, with the backup beats sounding similar to the analog funk that Little Dragon loves to make. Big Boi adds his rapid fire poetry over everything, and combined with Yukimi's singing on the verses, it makes for a great tune.
I imagine we'll see these two artists working together again soon, this time with no looming record execs calling the shots.
