Much more oriented in hip-hop leaning sounds than most future leaning electronic music as of late, Mozado's rework of Beyoncé's classic throwback, "Naughty Girl," has slink written all over it.
Slink is the operative term here. For a track that already oozed sexuality from each pore and subsequent measure, Mozado really does play the sex factor up to its maximum potential crafting a remix that not just runs with promiscuity, but mops it up like au jus. It sounds risqué, forbidden, but mainstream enough to make girls at college pre-games feel like the strong independent women they need to be before hitting the parties. In fact, it melds the perfect combo of new percussion patterns and sub bass to the original so convincingly that the cross over appeal from dorm room to club play is really the real hero here.
Job well done.
