The Melbourne-based artist Benjamin Shaw has released his newest full length LP, Megadead, via Audio Antihero. It certainly veers into sound collage territory. But, if anything that should excite your interest. As the opening track to the release, "megadead dot party" is brief but wildly poignant.
With cozy synth chords, some archaic voiceover, and what sounds like mangled playground equipment, I feel like I'm being wrapped in a soft experimental lullaby.
Don't bail yet though. Shaw is the king of segues on this one. Every track is an unexpected and rewarding rabbit hole.
