BENEE has teamed up with esteemed producer, Kenny Beats, and talented singer, Bakar, to bring us "Night Garden." Having only came to the scene in 2017, New Zealand-based BENEE, aka Stella Bennett, has shaken the indie pop scene with her dazzling vocals. 2019 saw her first collaboration, "Supalonely," with pop-star, Gus Dapperton, which amassed 1.3 billion streams worldwide, hitting Gold Certified in the U.S. and Platinum Certified in seven other countries. Now, the songstress' second high-caliber linkup features Kenny Beats and Bakar, and it's equally as promising.
For those who don't know already, Kenny Beats is a hip-hop producer and beatsmith who has worked with talents such as Vince Staples, Gucci Mane, Freddie Gibbs, the list goes on. Let's dive into Bakar's background really quick. You may know him from his stand-out single, "Hell n Back," or you might know him for his unique and enchanting voice. He's Elton John AND Virgil Abloh-endorsed so you know Bakar has style and class. Listen to two seconds of his music, and you'd find that out very quickly. The rising London talent is noted for wanting to bridge the gap between genres. In a 2018 interview he says, "I could be on every single playlist on Spotify and feel at home there."
