BENEE performs a track so on the nose you can't help but smile through the soft pop sounds of "Beach Boy."
I associate a lot of things with the dream-pop soundscape: clouds, beaches, naps, and midday sunshine, but it's not every day when a track comes around that injects a sense of quirk to it.
"Beach Boy" shows itself at face value as a dream-pop ballad that flows in and out of synth sounds and pop beats, but then also very intelligently layers that with a quirky on the nose narrative that is not only well-designed but also just the most fun thing you'll listen to all day.
