Why do we like this?

LA-based artist Beck Pete just dropped "Gently Break It," a locomotive indie ballad. Bare and intrusive guitar thumps alongside a simple bass drum. It's got all the elements of a bluesy singer/songwriter fused with the gyrating excitement of chamber pop.

Who knew we were missing such cathartic, belting female vocals? With some stellar production value, and a flawless delivery, I'm finding it a little addictive...
