Why do we like this?

Beatnick Dee has a story. Born in the Bay Area and raised in the UK, he emigrated back to the states to take up an internship at Los Angeles' Tres Records. The time spent grinding for the underground imprint left a mark, he soon made L.A. his permanent mailing address and began crafting his debut, Creative Medicine.

All that said, it's our pleasure to debut a taste from the batch, "Be Free." The somber tune features alt-pop darling Denitia & Sene. Folks may forget that the latter was better known as a fierce rhymer before he started crooning.

Denitia adds optimism to Dee's beat while Sene waxes poetic around the thematic focal point of freedom, in all its forms.
