Why do we like this?

Summer has officially arrived in Cape Town, which means it's time for me to bust out my favorite warm-weather music.

Enter local band Beatenberg's The Hanging Gardens Of Beatenberg. I've listened to it what must be hundreds of times, and every time it gets better and better (or just remind show good it was to begin with).

While driving back from a camping trip to Beaverlac this weekend, I put the album on and settled in for good vibes. Indeed, they came, track after track. And then I arrived at "The Prince of the Hanging Gardens," a song that sings true to the overall theme of the album. It has an easy tempo, but the chord progression and beautiful lyrics never cease to lose my attention.
