Why do we like this?

"Camera," Beatenberg's new pre-release off of their upcoming album 12 Views of Beatenberg, (set to drop on the 14th of December 2018) is a break from what we are used to hearing out of the trio from Cape Town. 

Matthew Field's experimentation with auto-tune may not sit well with fans who are used to hearing his melodic voice unedited, but it is an experiment that speaks to the growth of the band, who seem to be trying new things. The song is far simpler than most of what they've released previously, stripped bare of any frivolous intricacies. This is however not necessarily a bad thing, as it allows Matthew's voice to take centre stage, carrying the listener on a beautiful auditory journey. 

If this is the direction that they're going on their new album, then I'll definitely be along for the ride.
