Beastie Boys Make Some Noise

Chances are I don't need to tell you who the Beastie Boys are. What you may not know is that the official release date of their Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2 is slated for May 3rd, with this single "Make Some Noise" leading the pack.

You might find yourself asking, "Wait, did I miss part 1?" If so, I'd agree that that's a very prudent observation. Turns out that Pt. 1 had too many songs, which counter-intuitively led the band to try and record even more songs. That led them to believe that Pt. 2 would be more of a b-side collection, pre-empting the release of the main work, Pt. 1. But then they flip-flopped again! Apparently Pt. 2 is composed of the first 16-tracks officially slated to be released in Pt. 1. Which means that Pt. 1 is now made up entirely of those aforementioned "even more songs."

That might be hard to digest, so here's some easier trivia to understand: the group was formed 32 years ago, and the current triumvirate of members have been at it together for 29 of those years.
