Why do we like this?

"Paper cuts, they just don't cut me like you do," as the lyrics say in "Free," a recent collaboration between Bearson , a Norwegian producer, and Josh Pan, based in New York.

"Free" is a unique sound. Dark and murky R&B, but the color of love, love so deep it's not red but electric blue, and so heavy on the heart it steals your breath.

That's what this track sounds like to me, breathless. Like his heart has just been broken and this is all the breath he has left, to say these words, to sing this song.

If you've ever been in love, true love, you know this feeling. Bearson and Pan nailed it.
