Why do we like this?
This is an amazing song.
Ghostly - the label which lays claim to Matthew Dear, Gold Panda, SVIIB, Shigeto, and Com Truise, to name a few - is gearing up to release Brooklyn duo Beacon's second EP this fall, featuring the stellar single "Feeling's Gone." With a bare-bones beginning, this single touches on human emotion in a simultaneously light and deep manner, a hard feat to achieve. The track takes listeners through a journey clean, subtle bass lines and retro electronic overtones. The vocals have an Erlend Øye (Röyksopp / The Whitest Boy Alive / Kings of Convenience vocalist) quality to them, which is always a welcome comparison in my book.
The entire EP is out October 12, so be sure to keep that on your radar. If this single is any indicator, we are in for five tracks of luxuriously crafted, sexy electronic music.
