Which do you find more amazing: that, upon hearing this track, I had no previous knowledge of the artist BANKS, or that Jensen Sportag is an electronic producer from Nashville? Electronic music in Nashville is about as rare as a spotted dragon! Why a spotted dragon, you ask? I don't know, really, except that it was the first thing that came to mind when I heard his remix of "Change."
To refresh, BANKS, otherwise known as Jillian Banks, is a super pretty lady from L.A. currently doin' the damn thang in London. Others seem to gush about her"” lots of others. I listened to a few tunes; it's not for me.
Which brings us to Jensen Sportag. He describes himself as "difficult easy listening" which makes me think he's morally conflicted about his choice to be an electronic producer instead of a country star.
Although he still seems to be steadily perfecting his style, he's pretty good. I like his disco house bits, including this remix of "Change." At any rate, I think he's some one to watch... which won't be hard, him being a spotted dragon and all.
